Coming straight off of Labor Day weekend, Yung Gravy had all of the fans lined up at the door ready to party all night long with classic Gravy hits on top of his newest releases. Kicking off the night was DJ Tiiiiiiiiiip. Hyping up the crowd, he played some 2000s hits and even some older classics. At one point, he was throwing snacks he grabbed out of his backpack to people in the crowd.
Carter Vail walked on stage and beamed of happiness rocking his pit vipers. He kept a huge smile on his face during his set and there is just absolutely no way you couldn’t enjoy his and his bands performance. Playing songs like I Want You, Dirt Man, and Cowboy, Carter Vail definitely has fun on stage and you can tell he loves what he does. Once the opener wrapped up their set, crew members began breaking down equipment to get ready for Yung Gravy. The crowd was antsy, but DJ Tiiiiiiiiiip kept good beats flowing to keep the energy up. The lights went down and it was almost time to get the party started.
Yung Gravy came out rocking a Powerpuff Girls tee with sunglasses while the crowd went wild. Immediately going into his mega hit oops!, the crowd was on their feet and jamming out. Before continuing into the next song, YG said, “You know, the boys are back in town.” The Boys Are Back In Town beat began to play. Yung Gravy knows how to enjoy and work the crowd. Continuing the night he played Cheryl, Ms Gravystone, Coochie Anthem, and Forget Me Thots. While there was barely any time between songs as he has a stacked setlist, he took some time to talk to the crowd here and there. Of course, when he told everyone in the auditorium he was about to play You Need Jesus, the crowd erupted with hollering as it is a fan favorite.
With all of the dancing and singing along, the theatre was getting so hot that they brought out cases of water. Throwing bottles of water into the crowd, Yung Gravy didn’t miss a beat and continued to perform like the pro he is. Throughout the night, bras were being thrown on stage and signs were up in the air trying to get YG’s attention. Getting closer to the end of his set, the lights went low and roses came out. Yung Gravy along with everyone on stage started handing roses out to the crowd. The ambiance was moody and it was definitely more intimate than his vivacious and exhilarating set. Rounding out the night, he ended it with Gravy Train, Betty, and C’est La Vie. Although you might not be on TikTok or Instagram to see his downright hilarious videos and straightforwardness, there’s no way you won’t like Yung Gravy. His smile is infectious and his energy is contagious.
