The Australian metalcore band Northlane headlined an absolutely electrifying night, showcasing an all-star lineup predominantly featuring incredibly talented Australian artists as well as an American band. From the moment the doors opened, the energy radiating from the crowd set the stage for an unforgettable evening of intense performances and genuine crowd interaction.
Kicking off the night with an exhilarating start, Windwaker excited the crowd that poured in after 7 PM. Their set was a perfect blend of high energy and genuine engagement, effectively setting the tone for the rest of the evening. Their last song “SIRENS” left the crowd yearning for more, as they moshed to every beat.
Following them, Thornhill took the stage and grabbed hold of the audience from start to finish with an incredible demonstration of power and passion. They played hits like “Views from the Sun” and “Where We Go When We Die. During the play through of “Obsession,” they revealed that they would be joined by none other than Alex Camarena from Silent Planet! The performance not only captivated the audience but also maintained an exceptional energy level throughout, truly resonating with everyone present.
Amidst some of just many crowd surfers, Invent Animate delivered a memorable set of heavy hitters, encouraging the crowd to join in on "Purity Weeps" and demonstrating unwavering resilience despite facing a few challenges. Their set ended with a dramatic broken mic and a massive wall of death, leaving an indelible impression on every concertgoer.
Lastly, Northlane's performance reached an exhilarating peak, igniting the crowd with their latest hits from "Mirror's Edge" and their album "Obsidian." The atmosphere was electric as the crowd moved in unison, truly feeling the raw power and captivating melodies and anthems. Northlane is an Australian metalcore band formed in 2009 in Sydney. Their music blends elements of metalcore, progressive metal, and electronic music, resulting in a distinctive and evolving sound over the years. The Mirror’s Edge Tour, being named after their latest EP. Has had the majority of the dates selling out so far. Nashville TN was the 19th stop for this tour. Their fan base is loyal and really showed up for this tour screaming every word to “Clarity” and other hits like “Clockwork”. Northlane's encore, which closed the night with "Citizen," truly left an unforgettable mark on all who were present.
Overall, the Northlane headliner exemplified a masterclass in metalcore performance, with each band bringing their unique flair and energy to the stage. As the night came to a close, the audience left with ringing ears, sore throats, and memories of a truly exceptional showcase of the best of metalcore.
