FRND CRCL Making Their Stamp On Country/Punk Fusion

WRITTEN BY: ROB PAGAN

South Jersey’s FRND CRCL is set to release their latest single “Late Nights” on Friday, March 14th and I have to say, despite their name having an absence of vowels, there is NO absence of creativity in this flawless fusion of country and punk rock.

Let’s set the scene. We’re on our way to grab a beer at the local spot in town and suddenly we’re hit with vocals reminiscent of early 2000’s punk influences such as Blink-182 and Simple Plan. With a generous and versatile use of the ever so flexible F-bomb, FRND CRCL sets the tone for what most country songs are about…troublesome relationships and how we cope with them.

We finally find ourselves at the bar, our sanctuary, where simple yet  powerful chord progressions bring us into an atmosphere of emotional rebellion and resilience. Late Nights takes us right where we all want to be when faced with a situation of strife followed by a bombardment of judgment…and that’s in front of beer with our friends.

I personally find this song to be anthemic  for anyone in this position. My recommendation? Look up FRND CRCL, queue this song up, and blast the sh*t out of it (on repeat until you get to the bar and maybe 2 more times while at the bar) and join me on this feel good vent session.
